Telarus Partners Get Access to Granite’s Suite of POTS, Thanks to Agreement

Although it certainly seems like the majority of businesses are opting to use business VoIP for their communication needs, not all have jumped ship on their landlines. Plain old telephone services (POTS) lines are very consistent, which means businesses are not getting irregular cut-outs at any time of the day.

As a master agent, Telarus (News – Alert) looks to offer the best from its portfolio. Thus a new partnership with POTS-provider Granite gives Telarus partners access to enterprise-level POTS solutions.

Since POTS can integrate easily with new technologies, it is vital to keep it along with advanced communication systems, so this partnership is advantageous. One does not have to completely do away with POTS; it can save businesses a great deal of money and time, especially during an emergency.

This partnership bodes well for Granite.

While the technology has vastly improved over the years, mobile phones and VoIP are greatly affected by weather changes. Other disruptions on these kinds of telephony communication include cell tower location problems, satellite positions and even power interruptions. POTS are highly stable as they will not even need power to operate especially if using it for calls only. Having this as an option to offer partners is a solid move for Telarus.

“Granite fills a hole in our portfolio we have had for some time,” said Telarus’ Vice President of Supplier Management, Paula McKinnon. “It took us almost a full year to negotiate the terms of our agreement but we now have what we believe to be the best contract with Granite in the channel. We are very particular about which suppliers we choose to recommend to our partners and after looking in depth at all the companies in this space it was clear Granite was the best choice.
