Just a few months after starting his own unified communications company, Greg Plum has landed his first big deal. And it’s one that will resonate with channel partners.

This week, A+ Conferencing said it has teamed with PlumUC, which will provide audio conferencing to Lync in Microsoft Office 365. Lync does not come with that capability and it’s an area where Plum, a 15-year conferencing veteran, specializes.

Thanks to the deal, PlumUC will add an audio conference call account to a new or existing Office 365 license. Microsoft has authorized a limited number of providers to integrate their services with Lync; now, A+ Conferencing customers using Lync may invite non-Lync users to their conferences.

As a result of the PlumUC partnership, A+ Conferencing channel partners may offer the enhanced functionality to their clients.
