MicroCorp to Sponsor Women in the Channel Networking Event at Channel Partners Conference & Expo on April 10th

Marietta, GA – MicroCorp announced that it is a Diamond sponsor at the 13th Women in the Channel (WiC) Networking Event during the Channel Partners Conference & Expo. The WiC event will be held from 5-8 p.m., April 10th, in Tradewinds D, E and F at the Mandalay Bay North Convention Center in Las Vegas.

WiC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of female channel leaders in technology. Its signature events are a mix of peer networking, motivational remarks, professional development and progress report on WiC’s many initiatives.

WiCConnect Vegas 2017’s keynote panel, “The United State of Women,” spotlights a movement all women can get behind: gender equality. Together, we can raise the value of women in the workplace and leadership. We can empower women with the tools we need to create a culture of equality wherever we work in the tech industry.

The all-star panel of women in tech leaders will offer inspiration and advice for how to cultivate change from the top down and the bottom up inside every tech organization. Featured panelists include Lisa Miller, senior vice president of sales channels for Level 3 Communications and Davida Johnson, managing director, practices and community partnerships, Office of Information Technology at UCLA amongst others.

“MicroCorp has been involved with WiC since its founding, and we continue our sponsorship to demonstrate our commitment to promoting diversity in the channel,” commented MicroCorp CEO, Karin Fields. “Through WiC I have gained lifelong friends and mentors and I have many successes that I attribute to my WiC relationships.”

“Women in the Channel’s networking event has become a must-attend for women interested in advancing their telecom and IT careers and businesses, and it would not be possible without the generosity of sponsors like MicroCorp,” said WiC President Hilary Gadda, director of the Telepartner program at TelePacific Communications. “Our grassroots organization relies on the support of companies like MicroCorp that see the value in our educational, mentoring and community outreach programs aimed at empowering women in the channel.”

The Women in the Channel Networking Event is open to all women attending the Channel Partner’s Evolution Expo & Conference. It is FREE to all WiC members and $20 for non-members.

About Women in the Channel (WiC)
Established in 2010, Women in the Channel is a grassroots organization made up of women who are in leadership, ownership and revenue-generating roles in the alternate sales channel sector of the telecommunications industry. Month after month, these women are responsible for generating sales for their companies and creating wealth for their families.  WiC members are wives and mothers and sisters, and a high percentage of us are the main breadwinners in our families. WiC brings together this group because in an industry that is growing, expanding and changing the number of women at such levels is not matching that growth.   To learn more and to become a member, please visit womeninthechannel.org.
