Why Are More Enterprises Turning to Managed Communications Services?

Business success quite literally depends on a lifeline of reliable, cost-effective and secure communications for everything from voice to data to video. Small to medium-sized businesses and global enterprises alike are faced with the challenges of quickly adapting their communications response, particularly in the growing shift to cloud communications. At the same time, the cost of staffing an internal IT group or even a highly skilled individual who will stay up-to-date and manage evolving technologies is out of reach for many businesses.

As a Managed Communications Provider (MCP), AireSpring is ideally poised to fill this growing technology gap. Going beyond the more limited scope of a managed services provider (MSP), a Managed Communications Provider (MCP) combines the power of managed connectivity with voice and data services, cloud communications and managed security, all wrapped in a managed services environment that allows for flexible, customized solution planning and advanced technology expertise to fit the needs of each enterprise.

Managed Communications Providers vary in their capabilities, so take time to carefully compare products, services and pricing. The ideal provider can address your clients’ key business needs with some or all of these benefits.

Optimized Connectivity with SD-WAN Solutions

SD-WAN simplifies WAN management, offering ease, flexibility and control of centralized configuration. AireSpring’s menu of SD-WAN packages offers businesses a choice between the best-of-breed solution with Platinum SD-WAN by VeloCloud and Cisco Meraki SD-WAN with integrated next-generation firewall.

AireSpring Global SD-WAN combines the power of SD-WAN with the reliability of our Enterprise-Grade Global Private Network (GPN). Predictability and business continuity in the face of risk factors for multi-national organizations—factors like extreme weather events, political unrest, varied geographic and regulatory restrictions—demand the enhanced capabilities of Global SD-WAN. The power of Global SD-WAN supports the needs of multi-location enterprises managing multiple offices and data centers, providing end-to-end, enterprise-grade connectivity with AireSpring GPN access to and from 15 Global Gateway locations in China, Singapore, Taipei, Europe and North America.

Our Network Solutions Engineering team helps determine the best SD-WAN package for each business and ensures that custom policies are accommodated to reduce potential security gaps. Unlike some providers, AireSpring’s SD-WAN appliances arrive on-premises preconfigured to meet the unique specifications of each business, eliminating the need for expert IT staff to install, configure and manage the device.

  • Delivering fully managed, easy-to-deploy solutions, including complete design engineering, dedicated project management and white-glove implementation and support from our team of technology experts.
  • Expanding bandwidth by using low-cost, public broadband or internet connectivity, with SD-WAN’s active/active routing.

Improved Security

AireSpring’s Managed Firewall Security & Unified Threat Management offers industry-leading software with SonicWall’s newest Advanced Gateway Security Suite (AGSS) hardware technology. Our staff has the needed expertise to secure your information assets 24/7/365 at a fraction of the cost of an in-house IT security team.

  • Adding more sophisticated next-generation firewall (NGFW) and Unified Threat Management (UTM) service to monitor and prevent possible intrusions or threats.
  • Ensuring data is secure, monitored and backed up to an independent, reliable server.

Improved Connectivity & Reliability

Our fully managed, reliable, geo-redundant network with QoS provides true diversity and supports disaster recovery options to ensure business continuity.

AireSpring’s innovative, fully managed, owned and operated IP network provides end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS). Our network has the largest combined footprint in the USA. All services are delivered via a single vendor, so you avoid getting stuck in a finger-pointing contest between different providers when issues occur.

  • Efficiently managing a secure network with active monitoring features; proactively reporting faults and incidents.
  • Accessing the Managed Communications Provider’s relationships with an extensive field of different suppliers for a vendor-neutral approach, to source the ideal mix of telecom and cloud services for your company’s needs.
  • Providing expert, professional technicians to monitor and troubleshoot systems as needed.

Improved Cost Control & Productivity

Leverage AireSpring’s buying power to get better pricing than you can by going directly to larger carriers, especially for multi-location businesses that have to negotiate with more than one carrier.

Single point of contact (SPOC). You have only one responsible vendor, one single point of contact and only one bill to worry about. With AireSpring, you can access over 20 U.S. carriers and cable companies and see everything on a single bill, so staff doesn't have to waste time negotiating with different carriers, reviewing and paying multiple contracts and bills.

  • Free up enterprise resources to remain focused on core business functions.
  • Reduce overall costs of managing fundamental enterprise infrastructure.
  • Bundle multiple vendor pricing for significant savings, identifying a different mix of vendors in varied locations.
  • Offer adaptability to add or remove services as business needs change and new technologies emerge.

A growing number of SMBs as well as multi-location enterprises are adopting a managed communications provider model to achieve effective, reliable cloud communications amid constant technological change. The trick is choosing the right one by matching your needs to the strengths of the provider.

AireSpring’s Premier Support Package with our White Glove Service includes personal project coordinators, customer service managers, and an escalation list that includes the phone number of our CEO.

If some or all of these key drivers resonate with your clients’ essential business challenges, AireSpring offers solutions that will increase their cost efficiency and free up staff at all levels to focus on growing a business. As the recipient of over 70 coveted industry awards, AireSpring continues to be one of the most recognized Managed Communications Providers, recently adding awards for AT&T Strategic Product Award, INTERNET TELEPHONY Hosted VoIP Excellence Award, and Silver Stevie Award for Employer of the Year in Telecommunications, among many others.

SD-WAN is quickly becoming a must-have technology for many multi-location companies and organizations looking to improve the Quality of Service (QoS) of their UCaaS solutions, and other cloud enterprise applications. This feature-rich technology consolidates networking, security, reporting and network management onto one platform with a single-pane of glass view. It may seem like a silver bullet and cost saver to IT staffers, but there are some risk factors and challenges especially if you believe the hype that SD-WAN is a DIY technology. Reducing IT overhead and costs is great but not at the expense of the overall organization.

Join AireSpring’s SVP of Solutions Engineering, Mike Chase, for a presentation on the potential pitfalls of SD-WAN and how to help your clients avoid making costly mistakes:

  • Many SD-WAN providers deploy solely over the public internet. What are the risks and challenges of relying too much on the public internet and why hybrid public/private networks are often a better option.
  • Many SD-WAN products don’t offer gateways. Find out how a lack of gateways can significantly reduce the capability of your SD-WAN solution.
  • Learn how being restricted from Read/Write access limits network visibility and control.
  • Is your SD-WAN solution architected to grow with your clients as they grow, or will they hit a roadblock of limitations before they see the promised ROI?

Mike Chase provides the answers to these questions and more as he discusses the ways to avoid the hidden dangers of SD-WAN deployments and instead, reap the rewards of this promising technology.
