AireSpring has once again been recognized as the recipient of AT&T's New Service Revenue (NSR) Award.
|
|
|
|
|
|
The NSR Award is given out yearly to select Platinum Elite Solution Providers who post the highest total new sales revenue in a 12-month period. The announcement was made during AT&T's 2021 Fusion Conference in late October.
AireSpring continues to be AT&T's top award winner across the wireline product category and is one of a handful of providers to receive an award every year since the Partner Exchange instituted the tradition in 2014. The awards were established shortly after the launch of the AT&T Partner Exchange program in 2013 to celebrate key accomplishments and partner successes.
The NSR Award highlights the strong relationship between AireSpring and the AT&T Partner Exchange and underlines the value the partnership brings to the channel and to mutual customers. AireSpring has been recognized with this honor for seven consecutive years.

To begin, please tell us a little about yourself, your agency, and your professional background in Telecom?

I've been in the Technology and Telecom industries for over 25 years. I started Wine Country Computers back in 1997. I saw a very underserved market in this area and started offering my consulting services to many of the wineries and hotels in the region. Wine Country Computers and Technologies (WCCT) is a computer network management and consulting business that specializes in the design, installation, and maintenance of computer networks of all sizes. We are based in the heart of California wine country, with offices in Healdsburg and Little River. We are centrally located to implement and support the network needs of businesses in this greater wine country region. Serving Sonoma, Mendocino, and Napa counties since 1997, we are recognized in the region for providing system analysis and evaluation, hardware and software recommendations, network security, data backup, protection, and restoration. We also provide Surveillance Systems, Wi-Fi Networks for Business Internet Services, Cloud & Hospitality Phone Systems, Managed Technologies as well as Smart Home and Commercial Automation solutions. Our mission is to optimize computer network stability and productivity, and minimize downtime while providing a high level of customer support to ensure our clients' business networks are operating at their peak efficiency. We have the experience, the knowledge, and offer the personal touch that businesses need today to keep them up and running now and into the future. This month we expanded into the Little River area under the name of our new subsidiary, North Coast Technologies and Automation, so we could better serve our growing customer base on the Mendocino Coast.

What do you like about working with AireSpring?
In order to give our clients the best products, services and support, we need to partner with the best and that's why we work with AireSpring, and only AireSpring. I have a great relationship with AireSpring's Western Regional Channel Manager, Chris Abbott. His knowledge is endless. He always takes my calls unless he's already working with another partner, but I always get a call right back.

What would you say is the secret to being a successful trusted advisor/sales agent in today's marketplace?
Not a secret. You just have to connect with the best vendors, use the best hardware, and give trustworthy support. If you can do that you will be successful.

What is the "next big thing" you think trusted advisors should be aware of or get involved with for 2022?
Work from Anywhere (WFA) is getting bigger and bigger. I have a large number of hospitality clients and for the last 2 years, many of them catered to remote workers who wanted to get out of their apartments or homes for a change of scenery. This required them to upgrade their guest services especially their internet and phone systems.

Likewise, businesses that have embraced a work from anywhere approach will need better connectivity and network security so there is opportunity there to help them make that transition. Also, just like this country needed to address its aging infrastructure, many small to medium-sized businesses are dealing with their outdated technology infrastructure and they cannot delay upgrading any longer.
|
What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of telecom?
You cannot live in one of the most famous regions in the world for wine and not be a wine lover. But my life really revolves around my family. I especially enjoy spending as much free time as possible with my grandson Odin and granddaughter Ocelia.

Tell us about your professional background.
I have held various management positions within Information technology at top organizations for over 20 years. Prior to joining AireSpring as Senior Vice President of Information Technology, I served as Chief Information Officer ( CIO) at Prolacta Bioscience, a privately held life sciences company specializing in neonatal nutritional products. Before Prolacta, I spent 14 years at IBM starting out as a Systems Engineer and Systems Architect, then I was promoted to Delivery Project Executive for their Global Business Transformation Program where I managed the largest worldwide SAP rollout. When that project was completed, I was promoted to the position of Greater China Group CIO for China, Hong Kong, Taiwan. I have been responsible for Business Process, Business Simplification and Technology Transformation, Technology Enablement, ERP, Testing, Financial Systems, and general finance work with a focus on Business Data Analytics, Data Management and Planning. I have worked in Europe, Asia, and the US.
Tell us about your role at AireSpring and your goals and vision.
As SVP of IT, I am responsible for all internal IT functions and applications. My areas of responsibility and the teams of people that I manage fall into IT development, the IT Project Management Office (PMO), IT Infrastructure, and Helpdesk support. AireSpring has a long history of innovation and some of the best internal processes in the industry. Some of the more important applications that my teams maintain and enhance, and our partners and customers depend upon, are the QuoteSpring real-time quoting and proposal tool, AireCare our online customer portal for accounting, management, and support of AireSpring services, and DAX our real-time order status and tracking application. I am doing my best to make them even more cutting edge and to take them to even higher levels providing our channel partners with a strategic advantage in the process. Today we offer the most comprehensive tools in Telecom and I intend to make them even richer and more sophisticated.
What do you enjoy most about working at AireSpring?
The ability to be challenged and the ability to innovate and change. I enjoy making processes better. I am always looking for where I can make improvements and increase efficiencies. AireSpring executive management is also incredibly supportive of the projects my team and I undertake.
What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of the office?
First and foremost, I am a family man. Any free time I have I like to spend with my family. I love to spend time with my son Aiden who is seven. I want to be the best dad I can be. I also enjoy playing and watching sports: basketball, golf, football, and baseball. I also volunteer my time in my community groups.
