Award Winning AirePBX Just Got Better
|

We’ve listened to suggestions from partners and customers and have continued to improve both our product and delivery processes in several ways.
We took the dozens of features available in AirePBX and restructured them into two feature-packed bundles: AirePBX Business and AirePBX Enterprise.
- AirePBX Business will offer everything your customers expect from a Cloud PBX solution such as inbound call routing and multi-line hunt groups.
- AirePBX Enterprise is designed for dynamic organizations with the mobile executive and workforce in mind and includes mobile app integration with the desktop softphone so you can jump between devices during calls.
- We offer white-glove service with our managed connectivity package that includes on-site delivery, installation and testing of IP Phones, routers and switches by a trained technician.
- Customers who order AirePBX benefit from a dedicated VoIP engineer that will pair with the project coordinator to give each of your orders personal attention until the customer is turned up and satisfied!
- With AireSpring Managed Connectivity, we manage the network and provide 24 hour monitoring to ensure Quality of Service (QoS) on every call.
- Finally, FREE executive desk phones with HD audio, a color screen, and Bluetooth technology are included with a 3 year contract.

Who's faster? Usain Bolt or AireSpring?
|

It's a difficult question to answer. Sure, Usain holds the world record for the 100M sprint, and is the only person in history to win gold in all three major track and field races for three consecutive Olympics.
But is that what it means to be "the fastest man alive"?
Here at AireSpring, we think that closing big deals with satisfied customers is a sport of its own. We know how important it is for our channel partners to be able to deliver quotes to customers before the competition. That's why we built QuoteSpring, an online quoting portal that delivers complete proposals and order forms in minutes, no matter how complicated the order.

Welcome to the latest edition in our series of profiles where we shine the spotlight on AireSpring's amazing partners. This time we're speaking with Mark Prudell, Co-Founder of Broadband Consultants.
Tell us about your own career, as well as the history of Broadband Consultants.
In the late nineties I was working for AuBeta networks. They were an early pioneer in the private DSL network solutions industry. While servicing their vast, nationwide clientele, I learned what was needed in the retail space and in the mid-2000s, I took that experience with me to the telecommunications industry. For several years, I worked at New Edge Networks selling managed network services at the enterprise level, which served as my official introduction to the channel. That’s where I met my business partner Mark Radford. For the next several years, Mark and I worked with a number of different companies, building relationships and gaining experience in the channel market until 2009, when we decided to venture out on our own and become independent consultants.
With a decade of experience under our belts, Mark and I decided to start our own company, Broadband Consultants. At Broadband Consultants, we work with multiple carriers, giving our customers the most competitive prices and connectivity options available. We sell nationally, delivering everything from POTS lines, DSL, cable, T-1, fiber, integrated services, hosted voice, MPLS, and SD WAN—and that’s not an exhaustive list. If there is a solution out there, Broadband Consultants will be able to provide it.
When did you begin your partnership with AireSpring?
We were introduced to AireSpring roughly 5 years ago through Telarus’ Geo-Quote tool. Time and time again, AireSpring would consistently deliver some of the most aggressive prices at our customer locations. It wasn’t long before we realized that a partnership with AireSpring would help us provide competitive offerings to our customer base.
What do you like about working with AireSpring?
Broadband Consultants' partnership with AireSpring is founded on our relationship with our Channel Manager, Gabriel Valderrama. And that’s the first thing about AireSpring that I like—when you work with AireSpring you work with real people. Gabriel has exclusively handled our orders for years now, and we can rely on him to help us gain business and deliver solutions.
I have also noticed that AireSpring has a deep understanding of complex voice solutions, coupled with remarkable flexibility when it comes to meeting unique customer needs. AireSpring is adept at navigating the landscape of telecommunications service providers and ensuring that my customers get the solutions they need.
AireSpring is also incredibly fast at turning around quotes. Maybe Gabe is just particularly quick, but he can bring me quotes and order forms almost as soon as I send them off. This applies even with complex orders.
What would you say is the secret to success?
Our success is based on a tangible and straightforward approach to business and robust back office processes. First, we built an automated quoting system so that we could quote in real-time and at a high volume. We support 3000 inbound lead generation sites. When potential customers land on these sites looking for solutions, they will get a list of all the available offerings within 15 minutes. We aren’t a huge company, but we do huge quantities of business because we deliberately put in place powerful mechanisms to drive operations and sales. In a word, our success is based on adherence to functional, practical business operations rather than flashy market trends.
What do you when you’re not in the office?
I am pretty much a family man. I am married to my lovely wife, Joy, with whom I have a high school aged daughter. Since she was a freshman, I am proud to say that my daughter has made the school swim team and golf team every year. As a family, we are very active, which is probably a consequence of having an American Staffordshire Terrier with enough energy to power a small town. We go on bike rides regularly, we cook together, and we love to entertain family and friends.
I am also happy to note that, after nearly three decades in healthcare, my wife has joined the Broadband Consultants team. Between my wife and my partner of more than 20 years, Mark Radford, I can confidently say that I am around good friends and family 24 hours a day.

At AireSpring, we know that it is our dedication to customer service that sets us apart and customer service begins with great employees. Here is your chance to get to know the AireSpring team that oversees your orders and delivers great service every day. This time, we are speaking with Eric Scherrer, Tier 2 Supervisor, who works in our Repair Department.
Please tell us a bit about yourself, and your history in telecom.
I attended college in my home state of Colorado, where I majored in economics. After graduation, I worked at mutual fund investment companies for roughly two years before deciding that finance was not right for me. Without a clear vision for my future, I joined a temp agency as a way to sample a variety of different careers. As luck would have it, my first assignment was with AT&T Local Services. At that time, I knew nothing about telecommunications technology. I remember thinking to myself, “What could possibly be complicated about phones?” As far as I was concerned, all you had to do to make a telephone work was dial, answer, and hang up. I expected to spend three months putting in my time, and then move on to the next job.
By the end of my three months, there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that I wanted to stay in telecom. I learned that I had an interest in engineering, because I naturally gravitated toward the switch engineers and the technical staff at the office. I was captivated by the complexity occurring behind the scenes of every phone call and I wanted to know more. Soon after I joined, I was promoted to the position of switch engineer, and that marked the beginning of my career in telecom.
After AT&T Local Services, I moved to Qwest, Lucent, and then got my first position in VoIP at New Global Telecom in the mid-2000s. From there, I worked as a VoIP engineer at two more companies before making the move to California. Over this time, I had gained a great deal of technical knowledge. But I had also spent a lot of time interfacing with customers on a daily basis. As a result, I am a sort of hybrid engineer who can work on a highly technical level while explaining issues to customers in simple terms. AireSpring contacted me soon after I arrived in Los Angeles toward the close of 2010, and I have been working here as a Tier 2 Tech ever since.
What do you like about working with AireSpring?
The best thing AireSpring has to offer is its people. First, as an engineer who loves to learn I need to be around people who are more experienced and knowledgeable than I am. Even with my 20 years of experience in telecom, there are so many here at AireSpring who I can learn from. The combined expertise and experience in our engineering and technical departments is a goldmine for guys like myself. We are also at the forefront of telecommunications technology, which means I get my engineering fix each and every day. Of all the previous VoIP Engineering gigs I’ve held, I have never stayed anywhere as long as I’ve stayed at AireSpring.
Second, the people here take really good care of each other. For example, whether you like it or not, if it’s your birthday here at AireSpring you’re going to get some kind of celebration. Expect cake and sweets at lunch time and maybe even a few decorations at your desk when you walk into work in the morning. We work side by side solving customer issues and delivering services, so at the end of the day we are both a team and a family. I don’t see myself leaving anytime soon!
Tell us about your life outside of the office.
I live with my daughter, who is now beginning her senior year of high school and getting ready to apply to college. We have toured several schools and started getting her applications together. We’re both excited about college – she gains independence and so do I!
I am going to miss hanging out with her. We definitely have a few father-daughter things we do together. For some reason, we love watching those silly police shows like NCIS or CSI. It’s our shared guilty pleasure. We also do homework together. She is currently studying pre-calculus, and I was pretty good at math so I’m doing my best to help her out where I can.
I think she might head out to Colorado for school, and as much as I will enjoy the freedom, I have a feeling I’ll be taking many trips to the mountains over the next four years.
Thank you, Eric, for sharing with us.
