In 2021 AireSpring proudly celebrated our 20th year in business! This milestone anniversary was an opportunity to reflect on many things but especially the relationships with our valued Channel Partners. Without your incredible support over the years, reaching this significant two-decade mark would simply not have been possible. 2021 presented us all again with many challenges. Our strategy for growth in a challenging environment included expanding our award-winning Channel team, now 20 strong; deepening our reach across the U.S. and the globe; increasing our investment in industry-leading white glove service and support; and expanding our innovative menu of products and services with new solutions that help customers adapt to the relentless pace of change.

We are honored that AireSpring continued to earn many coveted industry awards including the 2021 Visionary Spotlight Award for our Global Managed SD-WAN solution, several INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine awards for IP Communications, the prestigious Stevie 2021 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Customer Service, and for the seventh consecutive year, the 2021 AT&T New Sales Revenue (NSR) Award.

Tell us about your professional background.

I have worked in the telecommunications and technology industries for thirty-four years. During my career, I have had the opportunity to gain solutions-oriented technology expertise in product development, as well as managerial knowledge accompanied by sales, engineering and industry backed operational expertise. I have always focused on delivering results and have held a few key leadership positions with both service providers and value-added resellers. I also have experience in cost optimizing as well as margin and expense reduction.

Tell us about your role at AireSpring

My chief responsibilities as the Director of Access Management are to expand AireSpring’s US coverage and improve pricing for our connectivity options through the addition of new vendors. I also work with all network partners to improve our competitive standing. I am always looking for new vendors to add to our portfolio of local access and new product offerings.

Once contracts and amendments are fully executed with my assistance, my team ensures that we incorporate the new vendor’s API, building list, and or pricing list into AireSpring’s real-time, online quoting application QuoteSpring. We thoroughly test these solutions prior to releasing them into production and it’s our responsibility to ensure that our QuoteSpring quoting App is accurate at all times.

Another aspect of my role includes ensuring that our carriers continue to quote accurately with both pricing and serviceability. Running in the background of QuoteSpring, we have an error report that is created every 30 minutes that will alert us if a potential carrier is having any API issues. I also work closely with the Billing and Revenue Assurance teams on any outstanding carrier billing disputes, along with being a point of escalation for provisioning or ordering issues with these providers. My team also provides all the ordering rules, confirming costs, and forbearance codes when placing carrier orders.

My goal for my department includes 100% availability for QuoteSpring, including accurate pricing and service availability with our underlying providers. And to identify and include as many providers as possible to help expand our coverage footprint both domestically and internationally.

What do you enjoy the most about working at AireSpring?

I would say that being part of the AireSpring family is the most rewarding aspect of my job. To work with top professionals in our industry that truly care about delighting our customers and partners by providing outstanding, personalized service and support is rare in this industry.

What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of AireSpring?

In my spare time, I enjoy working-out, playing golf, fishing and spending time with my family, which includes my two stepdaughters which I’ve raised since they were very young, my loving son, parents, brother, sister, brother-in-law, my niece and my dog Murphy.

Back in high school, I was fortunate enough to make it to the Ohio state competition for golf in Columbus. It was an amazing experience that I’ll never forget. My son and I have been on a few deep ocean fishing trips to Florida where we were able to catch our daily limit of red snapper and grouper as you can see from the pictures attached.
